Ruth has taken me on several food tours in our time together.  We even created one of our own when family came to visit for my surgery in 2016. This “Taco Tour” with Alejandro tops them all.

Some wonerful treats here.  Lot’s of liver.  Even Bodie enjoyed a piece.  Nice piece of tounge. I am not eating something that licks me back. 

The best meat of the pig is found in the cabesa.  (Head)  especially the cheeks.  Next time you go out hog hunting shoot the chubby cheeked dude.

If your sure what the white stuff is I am sure you had it at some time in the past.  Down south you may hear it called “cracklins” or out west “Chicharoni”. It is good old pork skin just waiting to be fried up.

Flowers and fruit

This is a huge market we end our food tour with.  More flowers then I had ever seen in one place.  6 dozen roses for less then 2 US dollars at one vendor.  The vegetables have such color and verity.
