Yesterday my brother Dan and I took a ride out to Brownlee Lake. This is near Hell’s canyon in Idaho on the Oregon border.

This was a decent ride of 230 miles. Leaving Star it was a bit cloudy but looking like a beautiful day was ahead. Unfortunatly it did not work out so well weather wise. We left Weiser on the way to Cambridge. As we reach the Midvale summit the hail starts to come down. The sting on my face brought me back to the farmer who’s cherries we were picking gave me a shot on the backside with salt rock. We did reach Woodhead Park at Brownlee in the sun. Spent a little time with neighbors who had been there camping for the week. No hail on the way home but we were met with some heavy rain and 50 mph winds. Good ride to think about the preperation of the next several weeks across this great nation and back.
