Route 66

Bought a new bike at the begging of the year.  A 2016 Yamaha Stratoliner.  This bike sure looks like it belongs on Route 66 so that is where this first ride will be.Stratoliner

First of all where do you start, L.A. or Chicago. Simple answer start the way the road was paved. Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier.

Today the family gathers around for the sendoff.

Departing home in Sammamish Washington. Nice weather to depart heading to Montana. First stop 465 miles to Missoula. Nice day for a ride although a bit of snow on the pass. Actually quite a bit but I pushed forward to the goal of the day. Nice to have packed right. Still hands and toes could use a nice warming up.
